This week’s questions are from Impulsive Addict:
{1} What was the last thing you searched for online?
{2} If we visit your home state, what is one MUST we should do before leaving?
{3} What do you think pharmaceutical companies should invent a pill for that isn’t on the market yet?
{4} When was your first kiss? Was it good or bad?
{5} What is your guilty pleasure tv show that you can not miss?
{1} Sailor Moon doll postings on ebay – I have two Tuxedo Mask dolls that I need to sell that were unearthed at my Mom’s house.  Not sure if they will sell or for how much, but it’s worth a try!
{2} You must, must, must visit Super Taq if you are ever in the Cali Bay Area. I love me some cheap, honest, Mexican food. If you’re looking for something to do (other than tickle your taste buds), I’d say you’ve got to hit up Dennis the Menace Park in Monterey. It’s free and super awesome.
{3}A pill to cure celiacs disease!! I want to eat yummy food again and not have to spend a fortune for crazy flours to make bread stuff by scratch. Or spend $5 on a loaf of gf bread at the grocery store.
{4}My first kiss was during the summer before college when I was a tender 18. Of course, it was with the worse possible guy (not confessing who at the moment…) and not the smartest move I ever made. In my defense, I was 18, on the cusp of the biggest adventure of my life, and feeling like I was the only girl on the planet who was unkissed at 18.
{5} My guilty pleasure show? Well, I love me some Say Yes to the Dress, but am unwilling to pay for cable, so I watch it when the new seasons are uploaded on Netflix’s instant streaming 🙂

Friday Confessional

I confess….

I sing to any song I know, no matter the location.  In the car, at the grocery store, watching tv, watching a movie, etc.

I confess…

I don’t always know I am singing. Or even singing aloud.

I confess…

My sister hated that I sang with every musical or Disney movie we watched growing up. And now my daughter commands me to “STOP SINGING MOMMY!!!” from the back seat of our car. Abba is only for 3 year olds, dont cha know?

I confess….

If I’m unhappy, or annoyed, I don’t sing along. So if there’s a catchy tune on, like an Abba song, or an Erasure song, or anything Classic Rock, and I’m not singing along, I am definitely not in a good mood.

I confess…

My sister and I used to sing as horribly as possible to songs on the radio, just to see who could sound the worst. And now, when Bean and I play dolls, I do the same with her dolls. Only now I’m belting out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star as horribly as possible. Good times.

I confess…

I’m excited to further embarrass my child in her teenage years by being that mom in the grocery song belting out tunes with the radio.

This week’s questions are from Janette.

{1}Everyone seems to have a quirky family situation– what is something unique about your family dynamic?
{2}What is the most stressful aspect to blogging (aside from the network going down)?
{3}We all end up on a blog at some point in our day, but name your top 3 favorite websites you flock to daily (non blog)!
{4}What’s your sign? Believe in it or not, does any part ring true to you?
{5}IceCream!! ICECREAM!! We all scream for icecream! Name your favorite flavor/brand!

Janette also has 2 BONUS QUESTIONS if you dare..
A. Name the blog you credit for linking up with us today?
B. Suggest a question you want to see in future WWTK’s

{1} Hmmmm, I’m not really sure it’s a unique quality, but I’ll share it anyways. Like most married couples who come from differing family sizes, we have an interesting dynamic when it comes to holidays and making sure that the small family is happy as well as the large one. I come from a family of 4. The hubs comes from a family of 8. All of my family (as of next Tuesday) live in the area and all but 3 of my husbands’ siblings live close by, as well. The Bean is the only grandchild on my side, but number 10 of 13 (and counting) on his. So when it comes to holidays, I always feel torn between having a rotating Christmas schedule and sharing time on the holiday with both families. Either way, I always feel like one family is getting the shaft and I don’t want that to be the case, since we love both sides of our families (I have awesome in-laws). Still not sure how to balance that one…

{2} Getting my pictures edited, resize, uploaded to Photobucket and then onto the blog. There’s a reason why I don’t post more often. It just takes too long to get it all done. Plus I feel this need to do tutorials, but just don’t have the time nor the patience to snap photos (in my badly lit sewing room) as I sew and then write it all out.

{3} My top 3 sites: Gmail, Google Reader and Facebook. I’m addicted to Facebook, but aside from blogs, I view it more often than other pages.

{4} My sign is Taurus. Not sure if it’s true to my personality, since the only thing I remember about that sign is we’re supposed to have green thumbs. I most defenitly do not. I’ve never given much clout to astrology. To me it’s just a bunch of bunk.

{5} Dreyer’s Take the Cake – tastes like birthday cake without the gluten. Can life get much better than that? I submit that it can not.

Friday Confessional

I confess….

it’s been a hard few weeks. Being sick isn’t any fun, but when your hubby, kid and self are sick, it just ain’t pretty.

I confess…

I get anxiety attacks that linger for days. There’s an equation for me to have them: sickness + no sleep + bills + being stuck in the house = anxiety. It’s gotten better with a higher dose of my depression meds, but it still comes.  I still have this lingering sense of panic in the back of my mind, but thankfully it doesn’t cause my body to go into a full on episode of crying, heart racing, labored breathing attack. I am, however, afraid that it will happen. That the feelings of panic won’t subside (usually, my attacks last 4 days).  It’s hard to be a good wife, mother, daughter, and friend when I feel like my world is going to combust at any moment. But man, when it lifts, do I realize how good life is! There is so much in the world today that can cause an unrelenting anxiety attack – sky rocketing prices for neccesities, an economy still in the crapper, tornadoes, massive earthquakes, horrible things happening to people near and far, etc. No matter how depressing these things may be, there are still lovely things that surround us. Sunshine. The laughter of children. Family. Friends. Faith. Good books. Good music. Smiles. A loving Father in Heaven.

I confess…

I started writing this confessional over a week ago, when the anxiety was still plaguing me.  Now I am back to my normal self and so thankful that I am!

I confess…

In an effort to kick myself out of my sad state, I created a daily chore list for myself. And put it on my fridge.  It’s helped a lot, though this week got thrown off by Memorial Day.  Just knowing what I will be doing 3 days out of the week (and having playdates set up for the Bean on Thursdays and Fridays) is liberating. Really, it is.

What do you have to confess? 🙂

This week’s questions are from Impulsive Addict

1). If the blogging world had a talent show, what would your act be?

2). What’s the most likely reason you might become famous?

3). What question are you repeatedly asked that you are tired of hearing?

4.) What’s the last thing you broke?

5.) Finish this sentence.  I can’t believe I used to ________.

1) My act would be a duet with my hubby. We both love to sing, but he is the far more talented of us. I swear the boy has relative pitch, so when we sing together, I hold the pitch without going flat. He also plays guitar, so we could totally pull together a cute rendition of a Jack Johnson song.

2) The most likely reason I might become famous is through graphic design. If only I’d put the effort into designing 24/7 and getting lots of clients, but at the moment, I’d rather focus on Bean 🙂

3) “When are you going to have another baby?” UGH I am so sick of that question. I feel like I need to walk around with a stamp across my forehead that says “Infertile” or “We’re trying. Leave off.”

4) The last thing I broke…. hmmm…. I break things so often, I can’t keep track. I think it was a glass.  Or maybe a hairbrush….

5) I can’t believe I used to wear blue eyeshadow up to my eyebrows. I don’t know if it’s obvious from this photo, but it’s really all the way up to my eyebrows.  This was taken at my 16th birthday party, which was 70s themed, but don’t let the idea of a party lead you to think it was just a one time thing. I often wore my eyeshadow like that. And I always wore ridiculous 70s/80s non matching outfits. *sigh* It took me a while to comfortable in my own skin 🙂
